Seabiscuit site in Flash

Seabuiscuit site. Just had this URL passed on via a favorite newsgroup. A nice looking site (like the style) made using Flash MX. Has integrated the video nicely as well and interesting transitions in the main area where you enter the site. Some nice brightness/contrast transitions in the photo gallery too. A little unintuitive to navigate, though.

Worth checking out. A lot of good and creative stuff going on in the site.

FlashPaper and Contribute... PDF?

Macromedia has announced (but not released) Contribute 2, which sounds like it is going to be a great update to Contribute... 1.

But there is an exciting new addition to the product, called FlashPaper. FlashPaper is going to probably excite all the Flash junkies out there since it is a little like a PDF but made of Flash.

Go here to check it out:
Macromedia's official word.

You'll notice in the demo the buttons have the new halo on 'em like the mobile components. Seems to be a new look Macromedia is going for. Do you like the new look?

So you have zooming, page turn, and all that stuff - but obviously not as advanced as PDFs. I honestly don't see much competition in the corporate sense. But I do see some heavy adoption in the general community on the horizon.

And a lot more people pullin' out their wallets for Contribute. Despite activation.
