Version: Flash MX
I'm partial to any book that takes on programming strategies from a design
perspective. No other program but Flash so thoroughly challenges designers
to live in both sides of the brain and create artistic code, that is, most
importantly, deliverable to an entire web audience. Joshua's book is a
no-nonsense, forward-thinking and creative approach to a very important
Flash ideal . . . decide first what you want to create, and then learn how
to make the program work for you to achieve that vision. Great tutorials
that provide important basic knowledge to be used and built upon. I think we
go through growth spurts as artists and technical designers. This book was a
new jump ahead for me, thanks to its simple and clean presentation of
essential new strategies. A concise and worthy piece of inspiration.
